The Problem
OTT discovery was too static. Viewers had to judge entire shows from posters and text while trailers, teasers, clips, and live moments were buried. The product needed a scroll-native way to create intent on both CTV and mobile.
What I Did
Defined a Reels-style discovery surface for OTT: vertical short-form video for trailers, teasers, clips, and live-channel moments with click-through paths to watch the full movie, series, episode, channel, or clip. Designed in-feed ad insertion during scroll to create a new monetization layer without breaking discovery.
The Outcome
Turned browsing into a revenue-generating product surface. Short-form became a high-intent discovery engine, unlocked a new ad inventory model, and gave operators a modern way to promote content beyond static rails.

Live Polling & WatchParty: Making CTV a Two-Way Experience

The Problem
CTV was passive. During live sports and breaking news, viewers left the app for Twitter and Reddit. The product offered nothing for the social impulse.
What I Did
Designed Live Polls + WatchParty with remote-friendly D-pad UX — a real CTV challenge. Built a producer CMS for real-time poll deployment. A/B tested across Sports and News verticals.
The Outcome
120% engagement lift. Live event session length up. Churn down. Feature replicated across content verticals. Became a competitive demo advantage at NAB and IBC.

One Product, Twelve Screens: SDUI + Ad Stack Overhaul
↑ 45% revenue growth · 12+ platforms unified · 70% CDN gain
The Problem
12 platforms, 12 release cycles, zero consistency. Every UI change needed separate engineering releases. SSAI had broken beacon tracking and missing DAI/Freewheel integrations — leaving ad revenue behind.
What I Did
Established SDUI as the product standard across all platforms. Owned the shared design system. Simultaneously rebuilt the ad stack: SCTE-35 pod logic, beacon tracking, DAI/Yospace/Freewheel integrations across AVOD/SVOD/TVOD/PPV.
The Outcome
45% revenue growth in 18 months. Experiment cycle compressed from weeks to days. CDN efficiency up 70%. Ad performance became a competitive advantage in operator conversations.

Build around the viewer, not the content library.
Most streaming products serve the operator's catalog. I build for the human on the other side of the screen. What would make them stay next week?
02 / 04
Data tells you what happened. Not why.
A 30% drop-off at minute 4 tells you where something broke. Only a conversation with a real viewer tells you why they left.

The best PM work is invisible.
Nobody watching sports on Roku thinks about SSAI or SDUI. They just watch. My job is to make all the hard things disappear.

Streaming is still in its early innings.

Understand the human first, metric second.
Data tells me what to investigate. Conversation tells me what actually matters. Every initiative starts with real people.

Write the problem before the solution.
A crisp problem statement is 60% of the solution. It forces alignment on what we're actually trying to solve before anyone touches a wireframe.

Ship small. Learn fast. Iterate with data.
I've A/B tested everything from poll placement to ad pod lengths. Intuition gets you to the experiment. Data tells you if you were right.

Make engineering a partner, not a vendor.
I write SQL, read system architecture diagrams, and understand API design. Real conversations with engineers make the work faster and better.

Use AI to compress work, not replace thinking.
Claude and ChatGPT compress weeks into hours. The judgment, prioritization, customer insight — that still takes a human.
